The Drug Free Workplace Act requires drug and alcohol testing on individuals with commercial driver's license, intrastate truck drivers and many other commercial transportation workers, in the United States. More than 20 million such tests are processed by approved laboratories and all of them are required to be received, reviewed, processed and retained by a medically licensed and MRO certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) prior to release.
The MRO is, in essence, an independent and impartial "gatekeeper" whose role is designed to ensure that all of the results are accurate prior to releasing them to the requesting party. This level of protecton is designed to protect all of our clients...companies and donors alike. Duties include, but are not limited to, verifying the integrity of the collection process, reviewing medical explanations of the non-negative results, communicating the results directly to the employer, protecting and maintaining the results as required by DOT regulations and legally defending any results decision. ExamVIP, Inc. will assist your company to complete Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services. A partnership with ExamVIP, Inc. provides access to highly a qualified team of medical doctors certified by AAMRO and MROCC. Each ExamVIP, Inc. MRO has extensive experience in the review of DOT & Non-DOT drug tests. Each MRO is supported by a team of Medical Review Officer Assistants also certified by MROCC. Though federally mandated MRO services are not optional for those subjected to The Drug-Free Workplace Act, when requested, we can apply the same MRO level of protection and quality to non-federally mandated drug and alcohol testing. You can never be too careful! |
